This weekend was a particularly meaningful moment for me.
On the occasion of the European Days of Crafts, I opened the doors of my Maison-Atelier to share my world, my expertise, and my passion for metal lace sculpture.
I also had the pleasure of welcoming the France 3 Auvergne team, who came to produce a report broadcast on the news.

A weekend of open house rich in encounters
Many of you came to discover my work, ask questions, observe the metal lace technique, and discuss the artworks.
These moments of meeting are essential to me: they give meaning to my work and allow sharing much more than an object, an artistic process.
My approach: sculpting lace in metal
I work steel and bronze as living materials, melting them to create metallic lace.
Each piece is entirely handmade in my workshop, with special attention to details, light, and the balance of forms.

Where is the workshop located?
The workshop is located at 8 rue de Charpentier in the village of La Collange in the commune of Lantriac in Haute-Loire.
Is it possible to park on site?
Yes, free parking is available in front of the sculptor’s Maison-Atelier.
Is a reservation required?
No, for the open house weekends held every 2nd weekend of the month, no reservation is needed; you can come on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Outside of these open house weekends, it is recommended to make an appointment.
Can you buy on site?
Yes, all available sculptures by Philippe Buil are displayed at the Maison-Atelier.
It is possible to buy a sculpture directly; Philippe Buil accepts payments in cash, checks, credit cards, and bank transfers.
