With this sculpture of a female body in metal and wood, I wanted to express a peaceful union between two materials, like a harmony rediscovered between structure and life.
A body as a place of reunion
In Pavarti Réunion, the female body becomes a convergence point. It is no longer a movement crossed or a tension, but a balance, a gathering of forces.
The silhouette is delicately suggested by the metal lace, while the wood naturally integrates into it. This meeting does not create a break: it builds continuity. The body then becomes a space of connection, where elements coexist without opposing each other.
This approach extends the idea of a "dance of metal and wood," where shapes and materials converse in an atmosphere both sensual and calming.
Wood and metal: a natural symbiosis
The sculpture combines steel, worked into lace by dripping fusion, and wood, an organic material by nature. Where metal structures and shapes, wood softens and connects.
Unlike a classic opposition between materials, here everything is in the fusion. The wood does not contrast the metal; it accompanies it. The metal does not dominate; it opens up. Together, they create a hybrid material, almost alive.
Light plays an essential role: it passes through the metal lace, glides over the wood, and unifies the whole. The sculpture then becomes a sensitive balance between what is constructed and what is natural, between gesture and presence.
