With this female metal body sculpture, I introduced chrome as a luminous signature, a bright area that captures the gaze and reveals the form.
A body marked by a signature of light
In Pavarti Signature, the female body is suggested by the metal lace, in a balance between presence and lightness. But one part of the sculpture immediately stands out: the chrome.
This shiny surface acts as a strong visual imprint. It attracts light, concentrates it, and highlights certain lines of the body. The gaze lingers there, then moves throughout the sculpture.
Chrome does not cover the form; it reveals it. It marks a point, an intention, almost like a signature inscribed in the material.
Metal lace and chrome: contrast and revelation
The sculpture is made of steel using the metal lace technique, obtained by dripping molten metal. This openwork structure allows playing with transparency and lightness.
The addition of chrome enhances this effect. Where the lace diffuses light, the chrome reflects it. It creates a contrast between: diffusion and reflection, matte and shine, subtlety and intensity.
This dialogue gives the sculpture a special presence. The light no longer just passes through the work: it becomes an active element, almost a material in its own right.
The whole creates a piece where material, light, and gaze meet, in a balance between delicacy and brilliance.
