Armories: The Blooming of a Garden of Light Between Steel and Glass
With "Armories," I wanted to explore the vitality of the plant world through a dreamlike lens. This sculpture is centered around a stylized leaf, crafted from a delicate steel lace that seems to unfold to capture the surrounding energy. To bring this mineral structure to life, I incorporated colored glass circles that punctuate the silhouette like little suns or flowers in full bloom.
The contrast between the sobriety of the steel and the chromatic brilliance of the fused glass creates a captivating visual harmony. Each colored circle acts as a point of light, illuminating the metal mesh and suggesting the imaginary photosynthesis of an iron plant. It is a piece from the Intimate collection that celebrates the strength of nature and its ability to reinvent itself, transforming a simple plant form into a true emblem of light (hence its name "Armories") for your interior.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
What do the colored glass circles symbolize? They represent the duality between the star and the flower. They can be interpreted as miniature suns providing the energy needed for growth, or as flowers blooming directly on the leaf structure, symbolizing unchanging fertility.
How is the glass attached to the steel lace? The glass is fused at very high temperature to embed directly into the openings of the steel lace. It is not glued but a true symbiosis between the two materials, with the metal serving as an organic setting for the color.
Can the sculpture be displayed in natural light? It is actually highly recommended! Placed near a window, the glass circles will capture the sun’s rays and project vibrant color spots onto your walls, making the sculpture "come alive" with the rhythm of the day.
Is this a unique piece? Yes, absolutely. The dripping process for the steel and the random glass fusion ensure that each Armories piece has its own rhythm and color arrangement. It is signed and delivered with its certificate of authenticity.
How do I care for this piece combining steel and glass? The steel is protected by an invisible professional varnish. A simple wipe with a soft cloth or a soft brush is enough. To restore shine to the glass elements, you can use a very slightly damp microfiber cloth.
