Champagne Bottle 56-23: A Window Open to Imagination and Rare Nectar

With the 56-23 sculpture, I wanted to explore the idea of revelation. Unlike a classic bottle, the central part of this bottle is widely open, allowing the material to breathe. This gap in the steel and bronze lace lets you glimpse the precious liquid it is meant to contain. It is an invitation to contemplate the reward of a rare nectar, a promise of exceptional flavors and moments offered to the eye.

The central void is not an absence but an open door to imagination. By playing with this dematerialization of metal, the sculpture seems to capture the moment when the bottle reveals its secret. The fusion of bronze on steel creates golden shades that evoke the sparkling color of the wine, while the transparency of the lace highlights the fragility and preciousness of the content. This piece from the Intimate range is a meditation on the pleasure of the senses and the poetry of tasting.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the central part of the bottle open? This opening is an artistic choice to symbolize sharing and the discovery of the nectar. It breaks the traditional silhouette of the bottle to make room for imagination and the flow of light at the very heart of the work.

How is the metal lace made? It is created by the dripping technique, a drop-by-drop fusion of steel and bronze. This manual process sculpts the void and creates these organic openings that give the piece its lightness and "lace" appearance.

Is this sculpture a unique piece? Yes, absolutely. Each metal pour is different, and the work on the central opening is done instinctively during the fusion. Each bottle thus has its own identity and its own play of transparency.

Is the work signed? Yes, it is signed Philippe Buil directly in the material. A certificate of authenticity is systematically provided, certifying that it is an original creation from my workshop.

How do I care for this openwork piece? The steel and bronze are protected by a professional varnish. For maintenance, a simple soft-bristle brush is enough to dust the inside and outside of the lace, thus preserving the shine of the metals and the clarity of the central opening.
