With this metal horse head sculpture, I wanted to express the strength, elegance, and memory of an animal deeply connected to human history.

An animal presence between strength and elegance

In this sculpture, the horse’s head stands out with its taut lines and balance. The gaze, neck, and contours convey a presence that is both calm and powerful. The horse is not frozen: it seems alive, as if caught in a suspended moment.

The Barbe horse, originating from North Africa, is known for its endurance and nobility. Through this sculpture, I sought to evoke this ancient relationship between man and animal, based on trust, movement, and respect.

Metal lace: a living material

The sculpture is made in metal lace, combining steel and bronze by drip fusion. This technique creates an openwork structure that gives the horse a presence that is both solid and light.

Steel structures the main lines and asserts the power of the form, while bronze brings a warmer, more organic feel. Light passes through the material and reveals the volumes, making the horse appear as a living form, constantly changing depending on the viewpoint.
