I create this metal skull sculpture as a fragile apparition, almost organic, suspended between matter and void.
In this work from the Intimate Sculptures range and the Skull Collection, I seek to reveal the hidden beauty of imperfection, erosion, and time.

This steel skull seems to emerge from a living bronze lace. The openings, hollows, and tears in the metal create a visual breathing that transforms the skull into an almost airy form. The material becomes light.

Through this contemporary sculpture, I do not represent death as an end, but as a transformation. The skull here becomes a symbol of memory, humanity, and inner permanence.
I like that each viewer can project their own story onto it: some see a contemporary vanitas, others a protective, spiritual, or poetic presence.

The contrast between the dark steel and the warm shades of bronze emphasizes this duality between strength and fragility. The deliberately rough texture recalls natural corrosion, mineral reliefs, and organic shapes found in nature.

This piece is entirely handmade in my workshop. Every detail arises from an instinctive process of fusing, cutting, and transforming the metal. No sculpture can be reproduced identically.

The sculpture rests on a structured round metal base. On part of the base, I engraved my signature to extend the unique and authentic character of the work.
