This sculpture combines a skull and a scallop shell, two powerful symbols of passage, journey, and transformation. The metal lace, made of steel and bronze, lets the material unfold in a play of voids and solids, where apparent fragility contrasts with the metal's strength. The shell, evoking travel, pilgrimage, and protection, seems to carry the skull like a contemporary relic. The whole piece questions our relationship with time, memory, and the trace left by existence.
