With this sculpture of a feminine bustier in metal lace and blue patina, I wanted to evoke Oceania, a land of freedom, light, and marine breath.
A body carried by the horizon
In Pavarti Oceania, the feminine bustier opens like a landscape. It does not close in on itself; it lets space circulate, like a form turned toward the open sea. The metal lace lightens the material and gives the body an airy, almost floating presence.
The evocation of Oceania runs through the sculpture without being literal. It is felt in this sensation of horizon, in the way the form never closes in on itself. The body becomes a point of balance between grounding and freedom, between presence and openness.
Blue: a breath between sea and sky
The blue patina introduces an essential dimension. It doesn’t just color the sculpture; it gives it depth. This blue evokes both the sea and the sky, creating continuity between these two spaces.
In the openwork structure, this shade appears as a soft, almost liquid vibration. It recalls lagoons, light on water, marine landscapes where everything seems to breathe slowly. The metal, worked drop by drop, captures this light and diffuses it, creating a sensation of calm and continuous movement.
The bustier then becomes a free presence, traversed by air and light, like a form balanced between land and ocean. The whole creates a calm, open sculpture where the material gives way to a sensation of infinity.
