"With this sculpture, I wanted to capture the moment of grace when the body awakens at the edge of a magical forest, a metal silhouette where drops of steel and bronze still seem to bead like fresh dew on the bark of the world."
A steel nymph: flesh and bark
In Pavarti Rosée du Bois, the female bust no longer fully belongs to itself: it becomes an extension of the forest. The posture evokes the awakening of a dryad or a woodland deity. I sought to sculpt a presence that does not impose itself, but "appears" between the shadows of the trees, a wild and peaceful beauty breathing in harmony with nature.
The body’s line is crafted to recall the organic curves of roots and branches. This is a work that celebrates the fusion between human and plant, inviting calm and daydreaming. It is not just a sculpture; it is a fragment of a forgotten fairy tale, a motionless apparition in the clearing of your interior.
Metal lace: the sparkle of morning dew
The work of lace by drop-by-drop fusion takes on a new poetic meaning here. Each weld point, each metal bead imitates morning condensation. The dark steel structures the silhouette like a forest shadow, while the bronze deposits its amber reflections on the shoulders and chest, simulating the first rays of sunlight piercing through the foliage.
The mesh is intentionally more airy at the edges, as if the sculpture dissolves into the air or blends into the bark. Light passes through this openwork body and casts moving shadows on the wall that recall the swaying of branches. Pavarti Rosée du Bois is a living piece that transforms the hardness of metal into a vibrant, fresh, and eternally morning material.

Learn more about the sculpture « Pavarti Rosée du Bois »
What is the inspiration behind « Pavarti Rosée du Bois »? The work was born from the imagination of magical forests and mythologies linked to nature. It symbolizes birth or awakening, where the human body and the plant element merge in perfect harmony.
Why use the steel and bronze mix for this forest theme? Steel evokes the depth and strength of the earth, while bronze brings light and warmth. This contrast recreates the visual atmosphere of a woodland edge at dawn, between cool shadow and golden highlights.
How does the metal lace technique serve this theme? The drop-by-drop fusion allows creating a texture that recalls both fine lace and the rough aspect of bark. This transparency suggests that the nymph is made of air, water, and light.
Where to display this sculpture to create a "magical" atmosphere? It is ideal near indoor plants or on a raw wood stand. Soft lighting or changing natural light throughout the day will reveal its bronze reflections and the poetry of its mesh.
Is the sculpture a unique collector’s piece? Yes, absolutely. Each metal "dew drop" is placed by hand, making the lace pattern impossible to reproduce. Each piece is signed by the artist and comes with its certificate of authenticity.
