With this metal female body sculpture, I wanted to approach silence by revealing an almost motionless presence, suspended in space.
A body in restraint
In Pavarti Silence, the female body unfolds with great economy of means. The lines are fine, measured, almost erased. Nothing is emphasized; everything is suggested.
This restraint gives the sculpture a special presence: it does not impose itself, it settles in. The body becomes calm, inward, as if standing in a space away from noise. Silence is not empty; it is full, inhabited.
Metal lace: an almost immaterial presence
Made of steel and bronze using the metal lace technique, the sculpture plays with solids and voids to create a sensation of lightness and breathing.
The material becomes discreet, letting light flow freely. Each opening, each line contributes to this impression of fading. The body seems to appear and then disappear depending on the viewer.
Steel structures the whole with finesse, while bronze brings subtle warmth. Together, they create a work where presence depends on almost nothing — just a balance between material, void, and gaze.
