With this bottle sculpture in metal lace, I wanted to capture time itself, fragile, invisible, yet essential.
With Le Temps en Bouteille, I sought to freeze the invisible: this slow transformation that acts silently, inside things as well as within us.
The bottle, a universal and familiar shape, becomes here a space of memory. I deliberately fragmented it, eroded it, almost fossilized it. The material disappears in places, giving way to emptiness, to the flow of light and air. This steel lace is not just a structure: it reflects the passing time, which hollows, transforms without ever completely destroying.
I like the idea that emptiness tells as much as matter. Each opening becomes a trace, a breath, a suspended moment.
At the top, I chose to contrast this lightness with a strong presence: a stopper sealed with deep blue resin. This intense blue acts as a guardian of time. It evokes both liquid, depth, and preservation. It protects what is unseen, what matures slowly, sheltered.
This artwork speaks of patience. Of silent transformation. Of the fact that time is not a loss, but an evolution.
Le Temps en Bouteille is a reflection on what ages and gains value, on what we preserve, and on what we choose to let pass through.
