This contemporary metal bottle sculpture is for me an evocation of an ancient elixir, between light and eternity.
With Old Plum Bottle 42-25, I wanted to go beyond the simple representation of a bottle to reveal its full symbolic dimension.
The Old Plum, in my imagination, is not just a liqueur. It becomes here a sacred, almost mythological drink, like a nectar from another time. This is the idea that guides the entire sculpture.
I work the metal in lace to give it an organic, almost living dimension. The material seems eroded, transformed, as if it had passed through centuries. This deliberate alteration creates an open, breathing structure that captures and lets light through.
The stopper, more massive, acts like a crown. It marks the nobility of the object, its precious, almost ritual character.
The yellow resin, for its part, is essential. I see it as liquid light, a solar flow that passes through the sculpture. It evokes both honey, amber, and the idea of a concentrated, precious elixir. It flows down the structure like energy, like a revelation.
I like the contrast it creates with the dark metal. It is a tension between shadow and light, between raw material and the purity of the flow.
In this work, I do not seek to freeze an object, but to suggest a transformation. Something that flows, that passes through, that exists beyond time.
This is a sculpture that speaks of memory, inner richness, and what remains after everything has been consumed.
