Small format, big presence: the Petit Chat Arlequin
In this metal painting, the feline and theatrical universe is expressed in an intimate format.
Created on a shaped and patinated steel plate, Petit Chat Arlequin features a cat with bright blue eyes, whose expressive features seem to emerge from a misty and textured background.
The background creates a soft and almost foggy atmosphere, where metallic touches and raised materials produce a subtle play of light.
The cat, adorned with its ruff and harlequin hat, has the appearance of a poetic character, appearing close, intimate, almost confidential.
The colored pigments and metallic additions give this wall sculpture a rich texture, where each reflection changes depending on the lighting.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
Where does the inspiration for the "Petit Chat Arlequin" come from? The inspiration comes from classical iconography and Renaissance theater. The Harlequin motif symbolizes duality and mystery here, combined with the independence and natural grace of the cat, all treated with a romantic sensitivity characteristic of my lace work.
How are the metals worked? I use the dripping technique (drop-by-drop fusion) to build the sculpture without a mold. Steel and bronze are melted at high temperature to create this airy metallic mesh that plays with light and space.
How to install this wall sculpture painting? The painting is equipped with an invisible mounting system on the back. It is designed to be slightly detached from the wall, allowing ambient lighting to cast the shadow of the lace, thus creating a constantly moving artwork depending on the time of day.
Is this an original work? Yes, absolutely. Each painting is a unique piece handmade in my workshop. It is signed directly on the metal and delivered with its certificate of authenticity.
Is the work protected against oxidation? Yes, I apply a professional protective varnish on the steel and bronze. This preserves the metal’s nuances and ensures the sculpture’s longevity without deterioration over time. Occasional dusting is sufficient.
