"With this metal lace woman sculpture, I wanted to freeze the moment when the body becomes a fiery arabesque, capturing the duel between the strength of steel and the burning sensuality of an Andalusian night."
A bust between arch and pride
In Trace Andalouse, the female bust is crafted like a choreography. I sought to convey this particular flamenco posture: a proud arch, a raised head, and a hip movement that seems to defy stillness. It is not just a body; it is an attitude of resistance and grace.
The sculpture plays on the lines of force of the torso to evoke the costume, the movement of fabrics, and the muscular tension of the dancer. It is a work that celebrates conquering femininity, one that marks the space with its imprint — its "trace" — before fading into silence.
Steel and bronze: the chiaroscuro of metal
The metal lace technique by drop-by-drop fusion here takes on the appearance of a Spanish mantilla. The openwork mesh lets the silhouette breathe, creating an iron lace that is both raw and infinitely delicate. Steel structures the power of the movement, while bronze adds warm highlights, like the reflections of a setting sun on a Seville square.
The void plays a crucial role: it symbolizes breath, the air circulating between the arms and bust during the dance. Light passes through the work and casts lace-like shadows on your walls that seem to extend the movement infinitely. In Trace Andalouse, the material becomes vibration to reach the soul of the Duende.

Learn more about the sculpture "Trace Andalouse"
What inspired the sculpture Trace Andalouse? It is inspired by the world of flamenco and Spanish culture. It aims to capture the elegance, pride, and passion that emanate from the body of an Andalusian dancer in full motion.
How is the metal lace technique used here? I use drop-by-drop fusion to create a mesh that recalls the lace of traditional fabrics. This technique suggests the lightness of a garment while maintaining the structural strength of the metal.
Which metals are present in this work? The sculpture is an artistic alloy of steel and bronze. Steel provides the nervous, modern structure, while bronze offers the warm, timeless patina characteristic of my work.
What is the best way to display this piece? To reveal the full depth of the metal lace, it is ideal to display it with lighting that plays on transparency. A side light source will accentuate the relief of the muscles and the fineness of the mesh.
Is this a unique sculpture? Yes, like all my creations, "Trace Andalouse" is a unique piece entirely handmade. It is signed and delivered with its certificate of authenticity, guaranteeing its exclusive nature.
