With this metal male face sculpture, I wanted to capture a restrained emotion, crossed by a subtle plant presence, like a silent link with life.
A male face between strength and vulnerability
In Une larme 26-25, the male face is shaped in a form that is both stable and open. The features are not completely closed, allowing breathing spaces to appear. This structure gives the face a strong presence, but never rigid.
The tear introduces a flaw, a tipping point. It does not break the balance: it reveals it. The emotion remains contained, almost internal, as if it belonged more to silence than to action.
The foliage: an organic and calming presence
Subtle foliage accompanies the face without ever dominating it. It integrates into the metal lace like a natural extension, bringing an organic dimension to the sculpture.
This dialogue between the face and the plant introduces a different interpretation: the emotion is no longer solely human; it is part of a broader cycle. The material, worked in steel and bronze by drip fusion, lets light through and creates transparent areas where the mineral and the living seem to meet.
